i use spotify as my main source of music listening. the program itself is rly like not good at tracking your music (except for wrapped ofc) so i use 2 third party apps to do tracking:
● LAST.FM: i use this for reccommending me new music bc the algorithm is unmatched
● AIRBUDS: i use this for social aspects and for statistics(minutes, top artists, etc)
these are both connected to my spotify and are suuuper easy to get going w! so i highly reccomend using them!

● BEABADOOBEE: my one and true love of all time. her music is just so fun and bubbly and amazing. possibly my fav of all time. check albums section
● FAYE WEBSTER: amazing chill and awesome vibes like hello?? shes also one of the only artists i have merch of too
● BILLIE EILISH: soooo iconicccc and its funny to listen to people say that her music is trash when they dont even listen to her
● KERO KERO BONITO: some of their albums (see below) have very similar vibes to beabadoobee!! i discovered them back in 2019 too
● KARENCICI: i am learning chinese and her music is so great for that!! i love translating her songs to english for practice
● THE MARÍAS: i normally dont like music in spanish but this band just hits different fr!!

● BEATOPIA: of beabadoobee. goes without saying,, one of the best albums of all time atp really
● HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: billie eilish! such and amazing album overall. i have a hypothesis that it might be in st season 5
● TO HELL WITH IT: honorable mention to pinkpantheress who would be #7 on the artists section!
● PREACHERS DAUGHTER: ethel cain is the most iconic doll in the music industry i fear and her music is gut wrenching

A GUIDE ON HOW TO GET SONGS FOR FREE (DONT FOLLOW IT)

okay guys so have you ever wanted to own your music? not by paying for a streaming service; bc if you run out of money and cant pay anymore then you lose literally all of your music until you can pay again. i think thats lowk not ok! thats why i promote keeping your music as local files on your computer or on cloud storage. they are always a one-time purchase (if you purchase them ;) ), and you will literally hold onto them forever unless your computer has a bomb inside and it explodes spontaneously, destroying your hard drive. !!! so this is my guide on how to do that!!
PAYING
this is honestly the way that i reccomend getting your files. it always helps to buy them directly from the artist on a platform like bandcamp or even itunes. it is defo the most ethical and also the most un risky! i wholeheartedly hope that everyone buys music directly from artists bc they get paid much more than on a streaming service. or... yk, theres the other way:
NOT PAYING
i am not saying that its evil. if you have the money, please buy from artists. but if u dont, this is always a great option!
● STEP 1: find the song on youtube. preferably in a web browser, not the app. then, copy the url of the video.
● STEP 2: use a yt-mp3 converter. be VERY CAREFUL, a lot of them will give u viruses. i reccomend finding one on reddit. i use THIS ONE and i am like 99% sure it is safe. i have yet to get a virus from it
● STEP 3: download it and organize it in ur files. organizing is sooo important. i reccommend by artist or album.
● STEP 4: listen. i run windows and it comes with 2 apps built in: media player and windows media player legacy. i like using the latter bc it gives frutiger aero vibes. you can also upload your files to an ipod or mp3 player if you have one bc they are soo fun to use!!
